Early Days

During the first few days of your baby's life we will visit daily, with less frequent visits continuing for a month after the birth.  You are likely to have lots of questions and anxieties, because even if you are an experienced parent, every baby is different.  We are passionate about supporting breastfeeding, and will encourage and support you as you lay the foundations for a long and happy breastfeeding relationship.  Most families also feel the need to talk about the birth and make sense of their experience.  We will also monitor your recovery from the birth, and make sure your baby is thriving.  We can carry out all routine baby blood tests and examinations.  We  have had extra training to enable us to perform the new baby check often performed by your GP or a paediatrician in the first two or three days of your baby's life.
